The fifth edition of the international architecture festival, “2016 Architectural Award”, took place at the Radisson Blu Iveria hotel in Tbilisi.

International development holding company AS Group Investment received a special award at the aforementioned event for implementing Dirsi – the largest development project in Georgia.

The construction of the Dirsi residential complex is being carried out by AS Group Investment’s subsidiary company, AS Georgia, using local, self-produced building materials. The new residential district in Tbilisi is being built on a 46 ha area.

Representatives from ten countries took part at the architectural festival. Winners were chosen in various categories out of more than 100 projects.

The Architectural Awards are handed out to builders, architects and designers for the best designs or completed projects in relevant categories.

The professional council of the 2016 Architectural Awards objectively assessed both the level of development of modern architecture and the latest trends in this field.

The competition is organised by the Association of Architects of Georgia and the Style magazine, with support from the Tbilisi City Hall.
