Fabrika is located in the building of the sewing factory that was operating during the soviet time. Before the restoration of the place, it had been abandoned by the neighborhood and society for decades. The region was distinguished by the unpopularity with both tourists and local residents. Exactly that was one of the main motifs for the creation of Fabrika.
Fabrika has become unique experience for Tbilisi in the conceptual, architectural, urban and social perspective. The original façade and interior design has been maintained in order to create the distinct spirit of the factory. As a result of this development, the neighborhood became artistic and hipster district.
Today Fabrika is one of the most popular urban locations in Tbilisi with 22 residents: cafes, bars, shops, art studios and hostels. The factory is distinguished by an open yard that has about 1000 visitors everyday on weekdays and a lot more on the weekends. People of any social status, age and styles gather here and enjoy the vibes that come from the members of its community and their socialization.
