On January 21, "World Snow Day" will be celebrated on all four mountain resorts of Georgia

The International Ski Federation (FIS) has been celebrating the "World Snow Day" for 7 years already.

"Mountain Resorts Development Company" reports that "World Snow Day" is quite a large scale event and 45 countries take part in it. The goal of the project is to promote winter sports and increase engagement of young people in it. Till now, the event has taken place at more than 645 resorts and over 600,000 people have taken part in the competition. It is noteworthy that the "World Snow Day" was established as a national holiday in Austria, Canada, France, Iceland, Norway, Poland and Sweden.

On January 21, the Ministry of Economics and Sustainable Development of Georgia "Mountain Resorts Development Company" and the Georgian Ski Federation organized the event with the support of the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs of Georgia, Silknet, Development Company "Red-Co" and Bakuriani Mountain Clubs Association. All four Georgian winter mountain resorts: Gudauri, Bakuriani, Mestia and Goderdzi are taking part in "World Snow Day". It is reported that entertainment events for children will be held, as well as fun competitions, where people of all ages can participate. In Gudauri "World Snow Day" will be joined by culinary school "Caramel", the singer children of "Basti Bubu" and a group of animators called "Funny Bus".

Activities will start at 12:00 at the Gondola Bottom Station. At 17:00, in the town of Bakuriani, children will be received by the "Joyland" Park. The event will be organized by the Association of Bakuriani Mountain Clubs.
