Murphy Holding Purchased Land Plot at 25 mln for Construction of Logistic Centre

Subsidiary company of the UK-based logistic company Murphy Holding is preparing for a launch of a big investment project in Georgia.

Murphy Bridge, affiliated company with the company, has acquired land plot of 69 762 square m, locating in Stepanstminda, from the state at 25 080 000 GEL.

The company reports on the Fracebook page, that they are implementing two projects: one – in Upper Lars area, where track parking area and related infrastructure will be arranged. The second is Murphy Bridge terminal, which will include installation of a full customs, laboratory, construction of specialized storage facilities, Hotel, car-washing facility etc.

“The additional infrastructure will allow controlling the process of managing traffic flows and reduce the number of heavy vehicles on the roads of Georgia, rising of transit flow and transit speed that will accordingly increase turnover. At the same time, import-export operations support will remain at the highest level”, – the company declares.

It should be noted, that Ministry of Economy has delivered land plot of 52 932 square m, locating in village Pansheti (where auto parking is being built) under the investment condition for 49 years and investment of 2.5 million USD should be made for that purpose.

The future plans of the company include making investments in the construction of logistic centers near the boarders of Georgia.

“Developing the logistics infrastructure in Georgia, we plan to make it the most attractive territory for the transit of goods from Europe to Asia and vice versa”, – the company declares.
