The First FIABCI National Prix d’ Excellence Awards will Take Place in Tbilisi

In April 2022, FIABCI-Georgia – the Georgian chapter of the International Real Estate Federation – will hold the first national Prix d’ Excellence gala award ceremony – the Oscars of the real estate industry.

The FIABCI-Georgia Prix d’ Excellence Awards will be the first event of its kind in the region. The event will be supported by Bank of Georgia, Galt & Taggart and Digital Area. The winning projects will be selected by a jury panel composed of leading industry experts from Georgia and various other countries based on the internationally recognised FIABCI criteria. Winners will take part in the FIABCI World Prix d' Excellence Awards ceremony.

The event will be organised in partnership with Colliers International Georgia, PwC Georgia, Business Association of Georgia (BAG), Expo Georgia and the Georgian National Association of Real Estate (GNARE).

The FIABCI-Georgia Prix d’ Excellence Awards will bring together leading real estate organisations from more than 20 countries. The event will act as a unique platform for exploring business opportunities, learning and networking. Parallel to the awards ceremony, the event will also include themed activities such as a conference on energy efficient construction, talks about the latest trends in the sector, international marketing and sales training, as well as development project site visits. All activities will be held in accordance with the existing regulations.

Organisers issued official statements about the awards ceremony at the construction exhibition Caucasus Build 2021, which took place at Expo Georgia on 15 October.

“It has been almost two years since nearly all industry players and stakeholders gathered in Georgia for the international real estate forum “Building Sustainable and Resilient Cities,” which was organised by FIABCI-Georgia with support from Bank of Georgia and other leading companies. The first national real estate awards are a continuation of this event. Their main goal is to encourage high-quality, eco-friendly standards in construction and to improve the urban ecosystem. The winners of the national competition will appear at the FIABCI World Prix d’Excellence event, which will strengthen our country’s position on the international stage,” FIABCI-Georgia President Lika Kardava stated.

According to Ms Kardava, an important stage of development for the national real estate and construction industry began in 2019 with the founding of FIABCI-Georgia – the local chapter of the International Real Estate Federation, which has a rich 50 year history. FIABCI-Georgia is currently composed of 30 leading real estate companies.

“This will be an international event of national significance, which means that Georgia and its real estate sector will have the opportunity to showcase the country’s unique regions and cities, as well as the most important private projects. The importance of these awards is similar to the Oscars. It will definitely encourage the creation of exemplary and competitive projects in Georgia and attract new investment,” FIABCI-Georgia Vice-President Nutsa Abramishvili stated.

According to the Executive Director of FIABCI-Georgia Kate Tabatadze, the national chapter of the International Real Estate Federation carried out important work in its first two years of existence to position Georgia on the international real estate map: “Our main objective today is to further strengthen the country’s positions internationally. To this end, the development project awards will be a standout event. We also have other important news that we will gradually share with the interested parties.”

The goal of the real estate days will be to position Georgia on the international map as a country that develops high-level projects of the future.

April 2022 will see a new chapter being written in the 30-year history of FIABCI Prix d’ Excellence Awards!
