FIABCI-Georgia Held General Assembly Meeting

The Georgian national branch of the International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI) held the first quarterly meeting of its General Assembly in 2022. The meeting took place at the Clocks Hotel on 14 April. It was attended by representatives of the 32 members of the association, which include sectoral associations, as well as leading local and international development, brokerage, architecture, urban planning and consulting firms.

The General Assembly meeting was opened by FIABCI-Georgia President Lika Kardava. FIABCI World President Jordi Ribo and his successor-elect Susan Greenfield joined the meeting in online mode. They greeted the attendees and spoke about the importance and values of FIABCI, the benefits of membership and future events.

The management of FIABCI-Georgia – Lika Kardava, Nutsa Abramishvili (vice-president) and Keti Tabatadze (executive director) – talked about the measures implemented by the organisation to improve the health of the sector, as well as about the short and long-term plans, including local and international events planned for this year that are highly important for companies involved in the real estate business. The next such event will be the FIABCI World Congress, which will take place in May 2022 in Paris. At local level, FIABCI-Georgia plans to hold the first FIABCI-Georgia Prix d’ Excellence Awards in October.

Representatives of 10 new members of FIABCI-Georgia gave interesting presentations about their activities and projects.

The FIABCI-Georgia team also introduced colleagues from Ukraine, who are currently residing in Tbilisi due to war, and are exploring local employment opportunities. FIABCI-Georgia has already helped one citizen of Ukraine find a job at the development firm York Towers.

The International Real Estate Federation constantly supports its national branches. FIABCI-Georgia plans to hold numerous important events throughout the year.
